No plan to acquire preps can survive without something going into it. If funds are not tracked and managed, coming in and going out, the plan will fail. Tracking and managing is best done with some form of ledger. I use a spreadsheet. In it, I list my pay days and bill due dates, and the items I wish to buy, or a total of their prices for a specific purchase date.

Below, you will find some example spreadsheets for Excel. They will also work in Open Office. Each one is set up for differing types of pay periods from weekly to monthly. Download the one that fits your payday schedule, and tweak it to suit.
